A faulty fire-sprinkler system in the century-old Opera House of Norway, Maine, malfunctioned and released torrents of water. The building was decomissioned while firefighters sought to fix the problem, thought to be a broken pipe. The structure of the building may have suffered severe damage, but authorities refused to comment.
